we are a fan of eason chan but we don't buy all his albums. not all are good, at the rate his produces his albums.
but the latest one, "taste the atmosphere", is pretty awesome.
the best singer in the chinese music business, eason has reached a stage where he could experiment and do all the stuff he wants at his whims and fancies.
this is particular free-spirited and experimental and we like eason this way, instead of singing the bore-us-till-kingdom-come kind of cantopop k songs. the music here is new age, chill-out, jazz and bossa, pretty daring for cantopop.
the best song is a wickedly funny song with a funny swipe on gungfu master "ip man" and it is done in bossa nova style! eason sings fantastic bossa nova!
this is good, buy it!
